Job Description
Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future The Field Technician is responsible for operational, mechanical, and instrument\electrical functions, such as inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. This work includes such activities as supervising/directing field crews, maintaining pipelines in compliance with contracts, regulations, and safety considerations, coordinating with on-site contractors, and ensuring cost effective and safe operations. Employee(s) in this position may have some environmental or safety activities associated with their responsibilities. The Field Technician will be working and traveling between the booster stations in the Greeley, CO area. •This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. What You'll Do Conducts routine inspection of equipment and facilities (equipment health, security, AVO- Audio, Visual, Olfactory), operation of liquid handling systems, and operation of dehydration systems. Conducts pipeline pigging, hydrate management, etc. Responsible for Startup, Shutdown, and operating gas compression equipment. Maintains pipeline ROW such as markers, signs, and vegetation, exposures. Performs minor maintenance on rotating equipment (e.g., belts, hot valves, fans, etc.) Maintains records in accordance with Pipeline regulatory requirements. Conducts routine inspection, calibration and repair of meter and associated equipment (meter tube/plates, ultrasonic meter, flow computer). Performs maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, manual valve actuators, etc. Performs maintenance and repair of and fixed equipment such as filters (all types), strainers, dehydration systems, etc. Conducts routine inspection, such as transmitters, switches, fire eyes, hazardous gas detection, level detection, etc. Operate
