- Indianapolis, IN We are seeking a self-motivated Full-Time Lab Technician to join our Laboratory Operations team.
Shift:
Various shifts available (to be discussed during the interview process)Pay Rate:
$16.50 per hourShift Differential:
Additional $2.00/hour for hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM Primary Responsibilities Perform routine operations including opening sample bags, creating accessions and batches, ordering proper test(s), and applying barcode labels. Scan Chain of Custody (CoC) forms, ensuring proper orientation and clear, reproducible documents. Verify proper aliquot volume; it may be required to hand-pour aliquots using bulb pipettes. Identify and separate samples requiring additional attention. Enter client and donor information, noting any deficiencies after Team Lead sign-off. Assist with transporting batches to other departments and placing or retrieving samples from freezer storage while maintaining proper chain of custody. Follow all laboratory policies and procedures and adhere to health and safety standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
