Position Summary:

3S O&M Services is hiring a Field Technician to support crude oil gathering and pipeline operations for a midstream customer near Crane, TX. You will work on pump stations and gathering facilities and be trained into liquid measurement. We are looking for strong mechanical ability and a willingness to learn. Measurement experience is a plus, not a requirement. Pay is $26 to $38/hr. depending on experience, with overtime at time and a half. The top of the range is for candidates with hands-on liquid measurement or pipeline experience. A company vehicle is provided.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, with some weekend callout responsibility.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily checks at crude gathering stations: pumps, tanks, valves, meters, and safety systems.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps and station equipment.
• Learn and assist with liquid measurement: LACT units, tank gauging, sampling, and meter proving.
• Record and report volumes, pressures, downtime, and equipment issues accurately.
• Identify and report leaks, spills, and safety or environmental concerns right away.
• Note problems and recommend a course of action to your supervisor.
• Perform all work safely and in line with customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of oil and gas experience. Crude gathering, midstream, pipeline, pump, or production backgrounds are all a good fit.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, especially around pumps and rotating equipment.
• Eager to learn. We will train the right person in measurement.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet and maintain eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle, including a good driving record.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather, alone, with minimal supervision.
• Basic math and clear written reporting.
• Dependable attendance and able to work overtime when needed.
• Must be able to work in the United States without the assistance of sponsorship.
• Candidates in Crane, Monahans, and Odessa are strongly preferred.
