Overview Join our dynamic team as a Home Remodeling Assistant and be a vital part of transforming residential spaces into beautiful, functional homes! In this energetic role, you'll collaborate closely with project managers, carpenters, and subcontractors to support a wide range of remodeling projects. Your hands-on skills and construction knowledge will help ensure each project runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your construction expertise while contributing to high-quality home renovations that make a real difference for clients. Duties Assist with the installation of windows, cabinets, flooring, trim carpentry, and other building materials in residential settings Operate power tools and hand tools safely to perform tasks such as plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and hardscaping construction projects Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to accurately execute remodeling tasks Support plumbing and electrical work by preparing materials and assisting licensed professionals on-site Conduct construction inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards Help with heavy equipment operation when necessary for outdoor hardscape or masonry projects Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and safety guidelines are followed Qualifications Prior construction experience or hands-on work in building construction, remodeling, or related fields is highly preferred Familiarity with Bluebeam software or similar digital markup tools is a plus Knowledge of construction management principles and estimating processes is advantageous Experience with interpreting technical drawings and construction plans is essential Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely in outdoor work environments Basic electrical experience, plumbing skills, or masonry background will be considered an asset Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Embark on a rewarding career where your craftsmanship helps create stunning home transformations!
