Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plaster to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying stucco and plaster finishes to various building surfaces, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and durability. Your expertise will contribute to both new construction projects and renovation efforts, helping us deliver aesthetically pleasing and long-lasting results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial, utilizing a wide range of skills in masonry, carpentry, and finishing techniques. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers or bonding agents for optimal stucco adhesion. Mix and apply stucco or plaster materials using hand tools, power tools, and trowels to achieve smooth, textured, or decorative finishes. Install metal lath or wire mesh reinforcement to strengthen stucco applications on various substrates. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project specifications and ensure precise application. Coordinate with other trades such as carpentry and masonry to facilitate seamless project progress. Perform concrete finishing, framing, and metal stud framing as needed for comprehensive project execution. Conduct quality inspections throughout the process to ensure adherence to safety standards and craftsmanship excellence. Assist with renovation and restoration projects by matching existing textures and finishes for seamless integration. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and following safety protocols at all times. Experience Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on stucco application or plastering. Strong knowledge of concrete forming, concrete finishing, and masonry techniques Skilled in the use of hand tools (trowels, hawks) and power tools (mixers, drills) Familiarity with schematics related to metal stud framing, caulking applications, and trim carpentry. Experience working on renovation or restoration projects is highly desirable.
