Job Description
The Hardscape Installer is responsible for installing hardscape features for residential and commercial landscape projects, including pavers, retaining walls, patios, walkways, outdoor living areas, drainage systems, and other landscape structures. Preferred Skills Paver installation Retaining walls Grading and drainage Excavation and base preparation Hardscape construction Equipment operation Reading site plans and measurements Key Duties & Responsibilities Install pavers, patios, walkways, driveways, steps, and outdoor living areas. Install retaining walls, seat walls, borders, and other masonry features. Perform excavation, grading, leveling, and site preparation. Prepare and compact base materials for hardscape installations. Cut and fit pavers, blocks, stone, and other materials. Install landscape edging and drainage systems. Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and properly. Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and staging materials. Read and follow project plans, measurements, layouts, and specifications. Maintain proper grades and elevations for drainage and finished appearance. eep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines. Maintain and care for company tools, equipment, and vehicles. Communicate effectively with the Hardscape Foreman and Project Manager. Qualifications Previous hardscape, landscape construction, or general construction experience preferred. Ability to measure, calculate dimensions, and follow layout instructions. Ability to operate basic hand and power tools. Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move heavy materials. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work effectively as part of a crew. Valid driver's license preferred. Lift and carry heavy materials such as pavers, blocks, stone, and bags of material. Repeatedly bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, and walk for extended periods. Work on uneven terrain and active construction sites. Safely use hand tools and power equipment. Work outdoors for extended periods in heat, humidity, rain, dust, and varying weather conditions. Work Environment This is a physically demanding outdoor position. Work may take place at residential and commercial properties and may involve exposure to heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, construction materials, and heavy equipment. Performance Expectations The Hardscape Installer is expected to: Produce high quality workmanship. Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately. Follow project plans and installation specifications. Maintain a safe and organized job site. Properly care for company equipment and materials. Represent C&F Landscape professionally when working at customer properties. Work cooperatively with installation crew and supervisors.
