Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Demolition Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely tearing down structures, preparing sites for new construction, and assisting with various building renovation projects. Your expertise in demolition techniques, use of hand tools and power tools, and adherence to safety protocols will be essential in ensuring efficient project completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, contributing to the transformation of spaces with precision and care. Responsibilities Safely demolish buildings, walls, and other structures using appropriate tools and equipment, including heavy machinery and hand tools. Follow detailed construction plans and blueprints to ensure demolition aligns with project specifications. Assist with site cleanup, debris removal, and material disposal in compliance with safety standards. Support the installation of building materials such as drywall, flooring, tile, or cabinetry during renovation phases. Operate heavy equipment like excavators or bulldozers while adhering to strict safety protocols. Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to execute demolition tasks accurately. Collaborate with construction management, inspectors, and other trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and window installation to facilitate seamless project progress. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety regulations on outdoor construction sites. Experience Proven construction site experience with a focus on demolition projects. Familiarity with Bluebeam software for digital plan review and documentation is a plus. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation required. Knowledge of building construction processes including framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, stucco application, caulking, plastering, restoration work, hardscape installation, cabinet fitting, door hanging, masonry work, flooring installation, tile laying, concrete forming, fabrication and remodeling is highly desirable. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately for precise demolition execution. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and construction sites. Experience working on construction projects or similar environments preferred. Skills in interpreting technical documents related to plumbing, electrical systems or building materials are advantageous.
