Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to a variety of surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces—residential, commercial, or industrial—by delivering impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new constructions to restoration and remodeling efforts, utilizing your technical skills and passion for quality work. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific finishing requirements. Execute various types of painting projects including residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, industrial painting, and renovation work. Perform surface repairs like plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and drywall finishing to prepare surfaces for painting. Install fixtures such as trim carpentry, moldings, frames, and other decorative or functional elements during remodeling or restoration projects. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using proper equipment and adhering to protocols; operate scaffolding and ladders safely. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project needs and materials; manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Assist with carpentry tasks including framing and fixture installation when required; support general handyman maintenance tasks as needed. Experience Proven experience in residential and commercial painting projects with a strong portfolio of completed work. Familiarity with construction site procedures and safety regulations; previous construction site experience is highly preferred. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to construction and renovation projects. Hands-on knowledge of hand tools, power tools (including welding equipment), scaffolding setup, and airless spray systems. Experience in plastering, stucco application, masonry work, concrete finishing, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, caulking techniques, restoration projects, and industrial painting is advantageous. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces accurately and estimating paint quantities; understanding schematics for precise application. Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects in various environments. Additional handyman experience or skills in fixture installation can be a plus for versatile project support.
