Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Chimney Technician and become a vital part of ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality chimney and masonry services. In this role, you will perform inspections, installations, repairs, and maintenance on chimneys, fireplaces, and related masonry structures. Your expertise will help homeowners and businesses maintain safe heating systems while adhering to safety standards and building codes. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of chimneys, fireplaces, and venting systems to identify issues such as blockages, deterioration, or code violations Perform chimney cleaning, repair, and rebuilds using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed Install new chimney systems, including rebar installation, concrete forming, stone masonry, bricklaying, and metal or wood framing Interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans to ensure precise execution of projects Apply masonry skills such as mortar work, stucco application, caulking, tile laying, and concrete finishing to enhance structural integrity and aesthetics Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all phases of work; operate heavy equipment responsibly on construction sites Build masonry scaffolding when necessary for elevated work; interpret blueprint specifications for accurate material installation Assist with renovation projects involving masonry work or building material installation to improve or restore existing structures Experience Proven construction experience with a focus on masonry or related trades such as bricklaying or stone masonry Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or schematics Hands-on experience with concrete forming, finishing techniques, rebar installation, and mortar work Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools specific to masonry and construction tasks Knowledge of building material installation including stucco, caulking compounds, tile laying, and metal stud framing Experience operating heavy equipment safely on construction sites; understanding of construction plans for renovation or new builds Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence in all aspects of construction work; ability to follow detailed blueprints and specifications Join us in delivering exceptional craftsmanship while advancing your skills in a vibrant environment that values safety, precision, and customer satisfaction!
