Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship in every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse sites, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to high-quality building improvements. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing as needed to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment (including airless paint sprayers), and other hand or power tools Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine surface areas and specifications for each project Perform construction estimating tasks related to paint quantities and material needs for various projects Execute specialized painting techniques such as industrial painting, restoration work, stucco application, and masonry finishes Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, or other related components as part of renovation or remodeling projects Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites Skills Proficiency in using hand tools (brushes, scrapers), power tools (drills, sanders), and spray equipment for efficient application Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately for precise work execution Skilled in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry finishing, and concrete finishing techniques Basic math skills for measurements, calculations of surface areas, and material quantities Experience with renovation projects involving framing carpentry or handyman tasks such as fixture installation or maintenance Knowledge of safety standards related to construction painting including proper handling of chemicals and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Ability to operate airless paint sprayers and other specialized equipment efficiently while maintaining quality standards Join our team if you're passionate about transforming spaces through expert craftsmanship!
