Job Description
Join our dynamic construction team as a Hardscape Laborer, where you'll play a vital role in creating stunning outdoor spaces and durable hardscape features. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from patios and walkways to retaining walls and decorative stonework. As a key team member, you'll bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to every task, helping us deliver high-quality results that transform outdoor environments. This paid position is perfect for individuals eager to develop their skills in construction and hardscape installation while contributing to visually impactful projects. Assist in the preparation and layout of hardscape projects using blueprint reading and schematics. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to install pavers, concrete forms, retaining walls, and other hardscape features. Mix and pour concrete, perform finishing tasks such as concrete smoothing and stamping, and ensure proper curing processes. Fabricate and install masonry elements including bricks, stones, and tiles with precision. Support carpentry tasks like framing, door hanging, trim carpentry, and installation of fixtures such as cabinets or glass panels. Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards, schematics, and project specifications. Assist with restoration and remodeling tasks as needed, including plastering, stucco application, caulking, and painting touch-ups. Operate equipment for excavation or site preparation while maintaining safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members on blueprint interpretation for accurate installation of electrical or plumbing components related to hardscape features when required. Prior construction site experience with knowledge of blueprints reading and schematic interpretation. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, masonry equipment, and heavy machinery operation preferred. Familiarity with construction management practices including estimating and inspection processes is a plus. Experience in concrete finishing, masonry work, tile laying, plastering or stucco application highly desirable. Ability to read schematics related to electrical or plumbing systems for integrated hardscape projects. Knowledge of safety procedures on construction sites; OSHA certification is advantageous. Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials consistently and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
