Overview Join our dynamic team as a Subcontractor/painting "Must have workers" and be a vital part of transforming residential and commercial spaces! This role is perfect for skilled painters with a passion for quality craftsmanship, safety, and efficiency. As a key player on our project sites, you will execute a variety of painting tasks, from surface preparation to finishing touches, ensuring every project meets high standards of excellence. All work is paid, and you'll be part of a collaborative environment that celebrates craftsmanship and safety. Duties Prepare surfaces thoroughly through cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including conventional and construction spray painting), and other hand tools with precision. Execute structural painting tasks on walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, drywall, and masonry surfaces for both residential and commercial projects. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications to accurately execute painting plans. Use ladders safely to reach high or hard-to-access areas while adhering to all safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols. Perform surface repairs such as plastering, drywall patching, caulking, and fixture installation to prepare surfaces for painting. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials and ensuring tools like power tools are used safely and correctly. Experience Proven experience in construction or renovation environments with a focus on residential or commercial painting projects. Skilled in construction estimating processes related to painting scope and materials. Knowledge of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects and visual color comparison techniques. Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including respiratory protection and general safety protocol adherence. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface preparation instructions accurately. Hands-on experience with hand tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), roller painting, brush painting, and power tools. Experience in surface preparation techniques such as sanding, drywall finishing, stucco application, masonry work, caulking, trim carpentry, plastering, framing carpentry, restoration work, remodeling projects, maintenance tasks, fixture installation, and general handyman duties. Strong basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities effectively.
