Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Professional Painter with government security clearance to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of painting projects across various settings, including renovation, restoration, and new construction. Your expertise will ensure that all surfaces are prepared and coated to the highest standards, adhering strictly to safety regulations and project specifications. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, drywall repair, plastering, and applying primer as needed to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Execute interior and exterior painting tasks using brush, roller, spray guns (including conventional and construction spray painting), and power tools with precision and efficiency Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications to accurately execute painting projects aligned with project requirements Apply coatings such as paint, stain, varnish, or sealers on various surfaces including walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, masonry, drywall, and structural elements Use ladder safety protocols effectively while working at heights; operate scaffolding and other access equipment safely Conduct surface preparation for construction painting including sanding, scraping, patching holes or cracks, and ensuring surfaces meet safety and quality standards before painting begins Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations by utilizing respiratory protection and following all safety protocols during handling of hazardous materials Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and blueprints for remodeling or renovation projects; assist in fixture installation or minor carpentry tasks as needed Ensure visual color consistency through color theory knowledge; perform visual color comparison to match existing finishes or specified colors Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools such as hand tools, paint sprayers, brushes, rollers, caulking guns, and other equipment after each project Experience Proven experience as a professional painter with a strong portfolio of residential and commercial projects Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting scope of work Skilled in construction site experience with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately Familiarity with various coating materials including primers, paints, stains, sealers; understanding of surface preparation techniques specific to construction painting surfaces Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), scaffolding use, ladder safety procedures and maintenance of equipment Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting environments; committed to safety protocol adherence including respiratory protection measures Ability to perform drywall repairs, plastering, caulking applications, trim carpentry tasks like framing or fixture installation; masonry or stucco experience is a plus Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; experience in remodeling or renovation projects highly desirable Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced construction environments while maintaining high-quality standards Join us if you're ready to bring your expertise in construction painting into impactful projects that demand precision and professionalism.
