Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Painter to join our vibrant construction and renovation team. In this role, you will bring spaces to life through expert painting techniques, ensuring quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform environments, enhance aesthetics, and protect surfaces with precision and care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and creativity while contributing to the beautification and functionality of various structures. Duties Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools for efficient coverage. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine project scope and color schemes based on color theory principles. Perform residential and commercial painting tasks across various settings, including interior walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, stucco exteriors, masonry surfaces, and industrial facilities. Execute renovation projects involving drywall installation, framing carpentry, fixture installation, restoration work, and remodeling efforts to prepare spaces for painting. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements accurately and manage time effectively on-site. Maintain safety standards by adhering to construction site protocols and operating equipment such as welding tools or scaffolding when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of both residential and commercial environments. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and industrial equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of construction estimating processes along with the ability to read blueprints and schematics confidently. Familiarity with surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, stucco application, concrete finishing, masonry work, and restoration projects. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise application of materials. Experience in related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry & frame carpentry), masonry or handyman work is highly desirable. Ability to work on construction sites with safety awareness; previous site experience preferred. Additional skills in welding or airless paint spraying are a plus but not mandatory.
