Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure durable, high-quality results. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated, and possesses a strong understanding of painting techniques, surface preparation, and safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your craftsmanship and creativity. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to apply paint, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings with precision. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and accurately execute painting plans. Perform residential and commercial painting tasks including wall coverings, trim carpentry, stucco application, restoration work, and remodeling projects. Operate airless paint sprayers and other equipment such as welding tools for industrial or large-scale projects. Apply finishing techniques such as drywall finishing, masonry work, concrete finishing, and fixture installation to achieve a polished look. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by adhering to protocols related to scaffolding, working at heights, handling hazardous materials, and using personal protective equipment. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating for project planning and material procurement. Strong knowledge of color theory to select appropriate hues for aesthetic harmony. Experience with residential painting as well as commercial and industrial painting environments. Skilled in the use of hand tools (brushes, rollers) and power tools (airless sprayers, sanders). Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Knowledge of plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry, and restoration techniques. Familiarity with schematics for fixture installation or maintenance tasks related to renovation projects. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities. Experience with framing carpentry or handyman tasks that support comprehensive project execution. Capable of working on construction sites with experience in construction painting or site-specific safety procedures.
