Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help bring client visions to life while maintaining safety and efficiency on construction sites. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings to determine project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles. Perform specialized painting tasks including plastering, stucco application, caulking, and restoration work for both interior and exterior surfaces. Execute construction painting projects across various settings including residential homes, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and renovation sites. Utilize carpentry skills such as trim carpentry and frame carpentry for fixture installation or surface preparation. Maintain safety standards by properly handling tools like scaffolding, welding equipment (if applicable), and masonry materials while adhering to construction site protocols. Skills Proven experience in residential and commercial painting with a strong understanding of construction estimating processes. Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects and accurate color matching. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and scaffolding setup. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Familiarity with plastering, stucco application, caulking, masonry work, and restoration techniques. Experience with renovation projects involving remodeling or maintenance work on various structures. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project scope and materials. Skills in carpentry including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, fixture installation, and masonry work. Knowledge of industrial painting procedures and the use of welding or concrete finishing equipment (nice-to-have). Handyman experience is advantageous for versatile task management across different trades within the job site.
