Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mason with expertise in laying stone, brick, and block to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality masonry work on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites. Duties Lay stone, brick, and concrete block according to project specifications and blueprints Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation Prepare surfaces by mixing mortar, leveling, and setting foundation lines for precise placement Install rebar and reinforcement materials as needed for structural integrity Build masonry scaffolds safely to access work areas at various heights Apply finishing techniques such as pointing, sealing, and cleaning to achieve desired aesthetic results Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and quality standards Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure construction environment Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding efficiently and safely Assist in renovation projects by restoring existing masonry structures with care and precision Experience Proven masonry experience with a focus on stone, brick, and block laying in commercial or residential settings Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings Hands-on experience with concrete finishing, formwork, plastering, stucco application, and tile laying Familiarity with building material installation including mortar work and metal stud framing Ability to operate heavy equipment safely on construction sites Experience in rebar installation and concrete masonry techniques preferred Knowledge of safety protocols specific to masonry work environments Construction site experience with an emphasis on restoration or renovation projects is advantageous Basic carpentry skills such as trim carpentry or drywall installation are a plus Join our team if you're eager to bring your masonry expertise to life through innovative building solutions!
