Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our HVAC and maintenance team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in construction plumbing, mechanical systems, and HVAC operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position has many opportunities for Full Davis Bacon Pay. Lots of Federal contracts. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in new construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts. Perform pipe threading, welding, and assembly tasks with precision to ensure leak-free connections. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly. Collaborate with construction teams, electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate project activities. Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting complex plumbing problems on-site. Assist with heavy lifting and carpentry tasks related to plumbing installation or repair work. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and regulations. Ability to obtain Federal Base access Ability to travel by air, boat and train when needed Support field service operations by responding efficiently to service calls and performing repairs as needed. Read schematics and technical manuals to ensure accurate installation and maintenance procedures. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with comprehensive knowledge of HVAC and plumbing practices. Current active drivers license would be preferred Ability to obtain Federal base access Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding apparatus, and other relevant construction tools. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of HVAC systems and general building infrastructure. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights, or in confined spaces. Knowledge of construction site safety standards and regulations. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation.. Experience with remodeling projects, maintenance tasks, or handyman work is advantageous. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse project teams.
