Job Description
Position Summary The Plumbing Installer is responsible for the installation, replacement, and commissioning of residential plumbing systems and equipment. This position performs high-quality workmanship while ensuring compliance with plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards. The Plumbing Installer works directly with homeowners to provide professional service, maintain a clean work environment, and ensure complete customer satisfaction. Essential Job Responsibilities Plumbing Installation Install residential plumbing systems including water supply lines, drain, waste and vent (DWV) piping, gas piping, water heaters (tank and tankless), fixtures, disposals, filtration systems, water softeners, sump pumps, ejector pumps, and related plumbing equipment. Remove and replace existing plumbing systems and components. Perform rough-in and finish plumbing installations for remodels and residential projects. Read and interpret blueprints, installation drawings, specifications, and manufacturer installation instructions. Test completed installations for proper operation and code compliance. Complete start-up procedures and verify system functionality before job completion. Job Site Management Maintain an organized, clean, and safe worksite. Protect customer property using drop cloths and protective coverings. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean operating condition. Accurately track materials used and communicate additional material needs. Complete all required job documentation, installation checklists, and photos through company software. Customer Service Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process. Explain completed work and answer customer questions. Provide recommendations for system maintenance when appropriate. Deliver an exceptional customer experience that reflects company values. Safety & Compliance Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times. Wear required PPE. Operate tools and equipment safely. Comply with all local plumbing codes and permit requirements. Maintain a clean driving record and operate company vehicles safely. Teamwork Work effectively with apprentices and installation helpers. Assist with training and mentoring less experienced installers. Coordinate with dispatch, warehouse, and management to ensure efficient project completion. Participate in team meetings and ongoing technical training. Required Qualifications Minimum 1 years of residential plumbing installation experience preferred. Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and installation practices.
