Commercial Plumber Job Description We are seeking two skilled Commercial Plumbers to join our team and work on new construction projects throughout the Bay Area, including upcoming projects in Emeryville and San Francisco. These positions will focus on private sector projects and offer competitive pay based on experience. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of commercial experience. Responsibilities Install waste, drain, and vent systems. Install water lines using materials such as cast iron, plastic, and copper. Work with and install various types of valves. Perform soldering and brazing. Install insulation, perform strapping, and testing of systems. Work on plumbing installations that may be underground, rough, or finish, depending on the project stage. Report to the foreman on site. Essential Skills Minimum 2 years of commercial experience. Experience with commercial new construction or tenant improvements. Ability to install waste, drain, and vent systems, as well as water lines. Experience working with cast iron, plastic, copper, etc. Ability to perform soldering and brazing. Understanding of blueprints and drawings. Ability to work independently and lead a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must have own plumbing hand tools. Work Environment Located in Hayward, we undertake projects within a 50-mile radius, primarily within 30-35 miles. Current projects are in Emeryville, East Bay, and San Francisco. Each project phase typically lasts 1-2 months. Plumbers work on-site with 2-10 colleagues under the guidance of a foreman. Shifts are Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility required for earlier or later starts between 5:00 am and 7:00 am. Employees use their own vehicles, with mileage reimbursement for necessary travel between sites. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayward, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
