JOB PROFILE

PRODUCTION LEVEL 3-5 PLUMBER
The Production Plumber (Level 3-5) is responsible for installing residential plumbing systems within US-Offsite's modular construction manufacturing facility. This role performs plumbing rough-in, drain/waste/vent systems, water supply lines, fixture installation, testing, and final plumbing work while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and production efficiency. Plumbers at this level work independently to complete assigned plumbing tasks and contribute to the successful completion of modular residential units. As experience increases from Level 3 through Level 5, team members demonstrate increased independence, technical expertise, and leadership by mentoring others and identifying opportunities to improve plumbing installation processes within the manufacturing environment.
WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY ACHIEVED
(Minimum Requirements):
Residential Plumbing Experience:
Demonstrated experience installing residential plumbing systems including rough-in, water lines, DWV systems, fixture setting, and final trim-out.
Blueprint and Plan Reading:
Ability to read and interpret plumbing plans, construction drawings, and specifications to complete work accurately.
Code Awareness:
Familiarity with applicable plumbing codes and standards, including California Plumbing Code requirements.
Tool and Equipment Proficiency:
Skilled in the safe use of plumbing tools, power tools, threading/cutting equipment, and installation materials.
Quality and Precision:
Ability to maintain proper slopes, alignments, leak-free connections, and quality workmanship.
Safety Commitment:
Demonstrates adherence to OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures.
Production Environment Experience:
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards.

Advanced Plumbing Knowledge:
Strong understanding of residential plumbing systems including venting, fixture layout, water distribution, and troubleshooting.
Modular or Prefabrication Experience:
Experience working in modular construction, prefabrication manufacturing, or production-based building environments.
Process Improvement Awareness:
Ability to identify opportunities to improve installation efficiency, workflow, and material usage.
Cross-Trade Collaboration:
Experience coordinating plumbing work with framing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, and finish trades.
Mentorship and Training Ability:
Ability to support training and development of junior plumbers or apprentices.
WHAT YOU ARE GREAT AT
(Day-to-Day Responsibilities): Installing plumbing systems in modular residential units including: Drain, waste, and vent systems Water supply lines Fixture rough-in Final fixture installation Testing and inspections support Reading and interpreting plumbing plans and specifications to ensure installations meet design requirements. Measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling plumbing materials according to specifications. Testing systems for leaks, proper flow, and code compliance. Maintaining organized tools, equipment, and materials within the production workspace. Collaborating with other production trades to ensure efficient module assembly. Identifying plumbing issues, plan conflicts, or constructability concerns and reporting them appropriately. Supporting production schedules while maintaining quality craftsmanship. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
LEVEL EXPECTATIONS
Level 3
  • Independent Plumber Performs assigned plumbing tasks independently with minimal supervision. Supervisor review may occur periodically to ensure quality and consistency. Maintains reliable performance without repeated mistakes. Level 4
  • Advanced Plumber Performs plumbing work independently with no supervision required. Identifies plan conflicts or process limitations and helps resolve them. Demonstrates strong knowledge of plumbing installation methods within the modular production environment. Level 5
  • Lead Plumber / Subject Matter Expert Serves as a technical expert for plumbing installation processes.
Trains and mentors Level 1-3 plumbers. Helps improve plumbing installation methods, workflows, and production efficiency. Demonstrates strong understanding of how plumbing work integrates with other trades and production processes.

SCHEDULE
Full-time:
Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM
  • 4:30 PM.
COMPENSATION AND CAREER GROWTH
$25.00
  • $40.
00/hour, depending on experience. Opportunities for performance-based increases.
