Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, assemble, and route process piping and plumbing systems for wet benches, chemical delivery systems, and semiconductor processing equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical schematics, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams to ensure accurate installation and routing.
- Cut, fit, join, and test process piping using materials such as PVC, PVDF, and stainless steel.
- Perform leak checks, pressure testing, and system verification to ensure proper installation and system integrity.
- Install and connect chemical process lines, DI water systems, drain lines, and associated plumbing components.
- Troubleshoot plumbing and process equipment issues and perform corrective repairs and maintenance.
- Perform preventive maintenance on wet process equipment, piping, and associated plumbing systems.
- Maintain accurate installation records, service documentation, maintenance reports, and troubleshooting records.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures, cleanroom protocols, chemical handling requirements, and environmental regulations.
- Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance activities as required.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and field service teams to resolve installation and equipment-related issues.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to equipment reliability, process efficiency, and serviceability.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong hands-on experience in industrial or process plumbing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience installing, routing, and connecting high-purity or chemical process piping systems.
- Proficiency in cutting, fitting, joining, and testing various piping materials, including:
- PVC
- PVDF
- Stainless Steel
- Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system verification.
- Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools, power tools, and plumbing/testing equipment.
- Working knowledge of industrial safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to accurately document completed installations, repairs, maintenance, and service activities.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
