UNDERGROUND PLUMBING TECHNICIAN CMS
Plumbing Inc. is looking for an experienced Underground Plumbing Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work, and has strong hands-on experience with underground plumbing systems. This position is primarily focused on underground water, sewer, and gas plumbing repairs and installations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose and repair underground plumbing issues. Install and repair water mains, sewer lines, gas lines, and underground plumbing systems . Excavate and expose underground piping as needed. Cut, remove, repair, and replace damaged piping. Install PVC, ABS, copper, cast iron, and other plumbing materials. Perform sewer line repairs and replacements. Install and repair water service lines and main water lines. Locate and identify underground plumbing lines. Work with trenching and excavation equipment. Properly slope and install underground drainage and sewer piping. Perform pressure testing and leak testing. Assist with sewer camera inspections and locating. Work with city inspectors and follow applicable plumbing codes. Read basic plans, drawings, and job scopes. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Properly document completed work with photos and job notes. Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and office staff. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of plumbing experience preferred. Strong underground plumbing experience required. Experience with water, sewer, and gas piping. Ability to work independently and complete jobs properly. Ability to troubleshoot and identify underground plumbing problems. Experience with excavation and trenching preferred. Ability to operate or learn to operate excavation equipment. Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be dependable and punctual. Must be able to lift heavy materials and work in trenches, crawl spaces, and other physically demanding environments. Must have your own basic hand tools. Must be willing to follow company procedures and safety requirements.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who knows underground plumbing and doesn't need to be babysat . The right person should be able to arrive at a job, understand the problem, determine the proper repair, communicate what is needed, and complete the work safely and professionally. Experience with water main repairs, sewer replacements, property line clean outs, gas lines, trenching, backflow systems, underground leaks, and commercial/multifamily plumbing is a major plus. PAY $35-$45 per hour DOE Pay will be based on experience, skill level, and ability to independently perform underground plumbing work.
