Job Description
Mike Testa Plumbing is an established North Bay plumbing company looking for an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our construction team. We specialize in high-end residential plumbing and are looking for a skilled plumber who can work independently with limited supervision. The right candidate should be capable of taking a project from layout and rough-in through final fixture installation while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. This is an experienced-level position and not an apprenticeship or training position . What You'll Do Layout and install plumbing systems for high-end residential construction projects Perform complete rough plumbing for water, waste, vent, natural gas, and propane systems Complete fixture and finish trim installations Read and work from construction plans and specifications Properly size water, waste, vent, and gas systems Install copper water systems using soldering, brazing, and press fittings Install cast iron and plastic waste and vent piping Thread, measure, and install iron pipe for gas systems Install CSST and pressed gas piping systems Perform drilling, digging, trenching, and work in crawlspaces as required Work independently while maintaining quality, productivity, and jobsite standards What We're Looking For Minimum 10 years of plumbing experience At least 5 recent years working at the Journeyman level in construction/rough plumbing Strong working knowledge of UPC plumbing code Strong understanding of residential water, waste, vent, natural gas, and propane systems Ability to read plans and perform layouts independently Valid driver's license Plumbing-related certifications are preferred Ability to perform the physical requirements of construction plumbing, including lifting, digging, drilling, crawling, and working on your feet throughout an 8-hour shift Dependable, professional, and able to work with limited supervision Schedule Full-time 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday Some Saturday availability may be required Work performed at multiple job locations Pay $40.00-$50.00 per hour, depending on experience Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off Bonus opportunities Join Mike Testa Plumbing We're looking for an experienced tradesperson who takes pride in doing high-quality work and has the skills to handle demanding residential plumbing projects from start to finish.
