Job Summary; We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and customer-oriented Service Plumber to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial plumbing systems as well as preform plumbing for bathroom and kitchen remodels. Unlike new construction plumbing, this position focuses heavily on troubleshooting existing issues and interacting directly with property owners. The ideal candidate possesses excellent problem-solving abilities, high technical proficiency, and top-tier customer service skills. Experience with hydronic heating systems is a major plus. Core Responsibilities; Diagnose issues: Inspect plumbing systems using specialized diagnostic equipment like sewer cameras and leak detection devices to find the root cause of malfunctions.
Execute repairs:
Fix or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, leaking water lines, faulty faucets, and broken pipes.
Maintain heating units:
Service, troubleshoot, and repair hydronic heating systems, including boilers, baseboard heaters, radiant in-floor heating, and circulating pumps.
Install fixtures:
Install and connect plumbing appliances and fixtures, including sinks, toilets, showers, water heaters, and garbage disposals.
Maintain plumbing systems:
Perform routine inspections, descale water heaters, clear obstructions, and flush sediment from lines to prevent future failures.
Communicate with clients:
Explain technical plumbing and heating issues and repair options in simple, polite, and professional terms to property owners.
Ensure code compliance:
Adhere strictly to all local building codes, health regulations, and safety standards during every service call.
Document work:
Maintain accurate, clean records of time spent, services performed, and parts utilized using our digital dispatch/billing software. Requirements and Qualifications Licensing; Possession of a valid state Journeyman or Master Plumber license.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-5 years of professional plumbing experience, specifically in a service or repair environment.
Hydronic Expertise:
Experience installing, repairing, or troubleshooting hydronic heating and boiler systems is highly preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED); vocational school.
Driver's License:
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record to operate company service vehicles.
Technical Skills:
Proficient with industry tools including pipe wrenches, cutters, drain augers, hydro-jetters, boiler pressure gauges, and soldering torches.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to 80-100 lbs, work in tight or confined spaces, and stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods.
Availability:
Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule to handle weekend or after-hours plumbing emergencies. Benefits and Compensation;
