Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Cafe Manager to lead our bustling coffeehouse environment! As the heart of our hospitality team, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Your leadership will drive team performance, uphold food safety standards, and manage all aspects of cafe management with enthusiasm and precision. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about food, beverages, and creating memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced setting. Duties Lead and supervise the cafe staff, including baristas, cooks, and service team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure high-quality offerings that meet safety and sanitation procedures Manage daily operations including shift scheduling, inventory control, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to streamline sales and transactions Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and health regulations across all areas of the cafe Monitor food production processes to maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control Handle customer service issues promptly to guarantee guest satisfaction and resolve any concerns effectively Implement cost control measures by managing food costs, waste reduction, and operational expenses while maximizing profitability Coordinate catering services or special events as needed to expand the cafe's offerings and community engagement Qualifications Proven management experience within the food service or hospitality industry, preferably in restaurant or cafe settings Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management with culinary experience preferred Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing hospitality teams and supervising staff effectively Knowledge of sanitation procedures, food safety management (including HACCP principles), and restaurant operations Excellent customer service skills with a passion for creating welcoming environments for guests Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and financial operations management Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Experience with food industry regulations related to catering, banquet services or dietary accommodations is a plus Join us as a Cafe Manager to inspire your team, delight our guests with exceptional service and cuisine, and make a lasting impact in our vibrant community space!
