The ideal candidate will have strong commercial plumbing experience, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to oversee daily plumbing operations while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable plumbing codes. The Lead Plumber will serve as a key field leader, working closely with the Project Manager, plumbing crews, general contractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules and deliver quality workmanship. Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily plumbing activities on commercial construction projects. Read and interpret plumbing plans, specifications, and installation details. Coordinate work with the Project Manager, superintendent, general contractor, and other trades. Supervise and provide direction to plumbers and apprentices in the field. Install, inspect, test, and troubleshoot commercial plumbing systems. Ensure plumbing installations comply with applicable plumbing codes, project specifications, and company quality standards. Coordinate material needs and communicate shortages or required materials to the Project Manager. Identify potential conflicts, field conditions, and installation issues before they affect the project schedule. Assist with layout, rough-in, top-out, fixture installation, and final plumbing activities. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Ensure employees follow company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Communicate daily progress, jobsite issues, and changes in scope to the Project Manager. Assist with inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities. Perform other duties related to commercial plumbing operations as assigned. Qualifications Proven experience as a Lead Plumber or experienced Commercial Plumber. Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing installation and construction practices. Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings and specifications. Knowledge of applicable plumbing codes and industry standards. Ability to lead a crew and work effectively with other trades. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned work. Valid driver's license preferred. Plumbing license or relevant certifications preferred, where applicable. OSHA or other safety training is a plus. Preferred Experience Commercial plumbing construction. Underground sanitary, storm, and domestic water systems. Above-ground sanitary, storm, and domestic water piping. Plumbing fixtures, equipment, and specialty installations. Testing, inspections, and troubleshooting. Experience coordinating with general contractors and other subcontractors. What We Offer Full-time employment.
