The Plumber Helper responsibilities include assisting plumbing crews with the layout, assembly, and installation of pipe hangers and supports on commercial construction projects. The position works alongside experienced plumbers and pipefitters to support the installation of piping systems while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized jobsite. This is a full-time, temporary project position ideal for dependable, mechanically inclined individuals looking to gain experience in commercial plumbing and construction.- Per Diem benefits available.
Pay Range:
$30.00- $30.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install pipe hangers, supports, brackets, and threaded rod.
- Measure and mark locations for hanger installation.
- Cut and assemble threaded rod, strut/Unistrut, and related hardware.
- Assist with drilling and setting anchors in concrete and structural surfaces.
- Operate basic hand and power tools, including drills, impact drivers, saws, wrenches, and tape measures.
- Work from ladders and aerial lifts as required.
- Carry, stage, and organize materials throughout the jobsite.
- Follow directions from plumbers, foremen, and supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Previous construction, plumbing, mechanical, skilled trades, or related experience preferred.
- Pipe hanger, threaded rod, or Unistrut experience is a plus.
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Ability to safely work from ladders and aerial lifts.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds.
- Dependable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in an active commercial construction environment.
- Plumber helpers, pipefitter helpers, mechanical helpers, and construction laborers are encouraged to apply.
