Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems. Assemble and install pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures. Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or potential problems. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and HVAC technicians, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to safety regulations and building codes at all times. Utilize programs and applications to check-in and check-out of jobs, write estimates/invoices, and document all notes for jobs performed. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems. Knowledge in common commercial fixtures, valves, drainage systems, water heaters, etc. Experience with power tools commonly used in plumbing work. Ability to read and understand schematics related to plumbing installations. Knowledge of construction plumbing practices is essential. Ability to sell quality plumbing services with honesty and efficiency. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
