A Plumber installs and repairs water pipes, including drainage pipes, in homes or larger buildings. Installs plumbing fixtures or appliances that use gas, and fixes plumbing problems such as clogged pipes.
We are seeking a journeyman Plumber to handle residential and commercial Plumbing tasks. You will perform service work that includes troubleshooting, installing, and repairing plumbing systems. You will need to be able to diagnose issues, execute repairs and installations, and ensure that all work meets high-quality standards and local codes. Problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with home and business owners are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities :
Diagnosing problems and failures in plumbing systems and equipment Determining whether repairs or replacements are needed for customers Installing and assembling plumbing systems and equipment, including valves, pipe fittings, and pipes Performing installation, maintenance, and repairs on water and gas systems, pipes, fittings, and components Leak testing using compressed air and/or water to ensure functionality and safety Repairs to plumbing systems including clearing clogged drains and toilets, replacing garbage disposals, finding and repairing leaks, replacing water systems, replacing valves, replacing pumps and any other plumbing repair work. Managing the inventory of plumbing supplies in your van. Taking pride in your equipment, tools and trucks keeping them clean and organized Maintaining safety equipment
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial systems.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications. Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems. Familiarity with local and state plumbing codes and regulations.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to diagnose complex plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and supervisors.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials 50-100 lbs, working in confined spaces, and handling tools for extended periods.
Safety-Oriented:
Know safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Customer Service:
Must be able to deliver excellent customer service, with a focus on professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Technology Skills:
Basic knowledge of mobile apps and work management software to track tasks and report on job progress.
Availability:
Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency calls, as needed.
Driver's License:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and 3 years of driving experience. The physical requirements of this job include: Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work. Ability to drive. Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces. Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone. Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
