Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solar Installer to join our dynamic team dedicated to advancing renewable energy solutions. As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of photovoltaic & thermal (solar) systems on various types of structures, including rooftops and ground-mounted sites. Your expertise will help accelerate the transition to clean energy while ensuring all work complies with electrical safety standards and industry best practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to onshore renewable energy projects, working outdoors in diverse environments and collaborating with skilled professionals committed to sustainability. Duties Install photovoltaic & thermal solar hot water systems, including mounting solar panels, wiring, and fixture installation according to blueprints and schematics Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure proper system layout and connection Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and roofing equipment safely and effectively during installation processes Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting of photovoltaic & thermal systems to identify issues and perform repairs as needed Follow electrical safety procedures in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and
NFPA 70E
standards for electrical safety procedures Interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents related to solar projects Perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards on construction sites Must be comfortable on roofs up to 3 stories Experience Proven experience working as a solar technician or in related electrical roles with a focus on photovoltaic system installation Commercial electrician experience with knowledge of high voltage, low voltage, and electrical diagnostics Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements and
NFPA 70E
safety standards for electrical work Construction site experience, including roofing or outdoor construction projects preferred Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, ladder use, and fixture installation in outdoor environments Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems within photovoltaic setups and other renewable energy projects Pipe & fitting experience and general plumbing knowledge. $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
