ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Read blueprints and drawings (preferred) to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (ProPress, pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, snakes, cameras, plungers, etc.) Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring, etc.) Install and maintain water supply systems Locate and repair issues with water supply and waste lines (e.g. leaks) Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc. Repair or replace drain, waste and vent Install and maintain gas systems Install waste disposal and sanitary systems Replace DWV systemsEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a plumber (3-5 Years experience required.) Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings Able to follow instructions Communicate professionally with customers and co-workers Friendly with a great deal of patience Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship (preferred) Valid plumber license to practice the profession (preferred) Must have extensive knowledge of plumbing codePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
- Physically fit with the ability to work in awkward spaces
- Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
- Ability to crouch, bend, and sit
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must own tools of the trade
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Must have reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel
- Must have a smartphone (required)
