Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential homes. Your expertise will ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing regulations, and safety standards. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and gas piping systems according to construction plans and schematics. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute plumbing layouts. Use hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment, to complete installations and repairs efficiently. Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, plumbing building codes, safety regulations, and mechanical standards. Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems in residential to prevent future issues. Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and field service personnel to coordinate project tasks. Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites while following safety protocols. Troubleshoot plumbing system issues using technical knowledge of schematics and construction plans; perform pipe installation and pipe threading as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance records. Support remodeling projects by assembling plumbing components and integrating new systems seamlessly into existing structures. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in residential and commercial plumbing projects. Valid Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent certification demonstrating mastery of plumbing skills. Experience with pipe threading, gas piping systems, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of plumbing building codes, local building codes, safety regulations, and mechanical standards. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and schematics effectively. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), remodeling projects, and construction site experience preferred. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe installation and system design. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working at heights or in confined spaces as required on construction sites. Valid driver's license for commercial driving duties if necessary; experience operating various vehicles is advantageous.
