Job Description

"A coach is someone who tells you what you don't want to hear, who has you see what you don't want to see, so you can be who you have always known you could be." — Tom Landry What if the next great plumber on our team gets there because of you? What if the guys who level up around you, level up because you were the one who showed them how? We are a family owned and operated business, serving the Chicagoland area since 1992. Our vision is to build the company people stake their future on. We've grown into one of the larger home services companies in Chicagoland, and we have an active plan to multiply that size several times over in the years ahead — which means the plumbers helping build that growth today are the ones who'll lead it tomorrow. __________________________________________________________________________________________ What You Get From Day One $50-60/hr. plus performance commission weekly. A defined growth path — this role is designed to grow into Field Manager as the company scales and as you build the leaders under you. Health Insurance — Blue Cross Blue Shield ( entire family, 100% company paid ) Dental Insurance (100% company paid) Vision Insurance (100% company paid) Life Insurance (100% company paid) 401k with company match Healthy PTO provided Weekly paychecks, plus Your own truck, your own route, your own reputation Direct, weekly access to ownership and leadership — not layers of middle management Regular paid training and continued development __________________________________________________________________________________________
The Job:
More of a Mission Our purpose is simple: We Comfort Families . For most people that means a house that's warm in January and cool in July — but just as often, it means hot water that doesn't run out, a water heater that doesn't fail on a Sunday, and pipes that don't turn a Tuesday into a disaster. Every truck we put on the road carries that mission into someone's home. This role is built for a licensed plumber who has already earned the truck, the reputation, and the trust — and who's ready to carry more than just their own workload. You'll run your own truck and your own book of jobs like it's your own business. And you'll be the guy other techs call when a job gets hard, or a newer plumber needs to see it done right. This isn't a desk job and it isn't a title without weight — you're still turning wrenches every day. But how you carry yourself on every call sets the bar the rest of the crew rises to. The BIG Task Deliver excellent, profitable plumbing work on your own truck every single day, while raising the skill, confidence, and standards of the plumbers around you — becoming the guy other techs are measured against. Key Sub Tasks Run your own truck and route with full ownership of quality, safety, and customer experience on every call. Mentor and coach less experienced plumbers in the field — hands-on, job-site training, not classroom theory. Model the standard for workmanship, professionalism, and customer communication the rest of the team is trained to. Flag and help solve recurring problems in the field — be the guy ownership calls when something needs fixing at the root, not just patched on the truck. Help train and onboard new plumbers as the team grows. Give leadership a direct line on what's working and what's not in the field — you're closer to the customer than anyone in the office. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Must-Haves An active plumbing license — required for this role. A proven track record as a top-performing residential plumber — strong reviews, strong close rates, low callbacks. A natural instinct to teach — you get real satisfaction from showing someone else how to do it right, not just doing it right yourself. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check. Nice-to-Haves Experience formally or informally training or mentoring other technicians. Familiarity with field service software (e.g., ServiceTitan or similar). Ambition to grow into a formal leadership role (Field Manager) as the company scales. __________________________________________________________________________________________
