Commercial Service Plumber TechPro Mechanical, LLC | Westfield, Indiana | Full Time Put your plumbing experience to work where your skill, judgment, and customer service matter. TechPro Mechanical is hiring an experienced Commercial Service Plumber to support our commercial customers throughout Central Indiana. Based out of our Westfield office, you'll diagnose plumbing problems, complete repairs and installations, and help keep restaurants, retail stores, and other commercial facilities operating. We're looking for a dependable professional who takes ownership of service calls, communicates clearly, and delivers quality workmanship. You'll work directly with our Director of Plumbing Operations and coordinate with our office team to move jobs from diagnosis through completion.
Responsibilities Diagnose and repair:
Troubleshoot leaks, drainage problems, fixture failures, water heater issues, and other commercial plumbing concerns. Identify the cause and recommend a lasting solution.
Service and install:
Repair and replace piping, fixtures, faucets, toilets, valves, water heaters, and related plumbing components.
Clear and inspect drains:
Perform drain cleaning and, where trained, hydro jetting and camera inspections. Document findings and recommend necessary repairs.
Communicate with customers:
Explain problems, repair options, and next steps professionally. Keep customers and dispatch informed of progress, delays, and return-visit needs.
Support accurate proposals:
Provide clear scopes, measurements, photos, and material requirements for additional repairs or replacement work.
Document every call:
Record labor, materials, diagnostic findings, work performed, photos, and follow-up recommendations in our service software.
Work within approvals:
Coordinate with the office before performing work outside the approved scope or customer spending authorization.
Verify your work:
Test completed repairs, check for leaks and proper operation, and leave the work area clean.
Work safely:
Follow applicable plumbing codes, company procedures, and jobsite safety requirements.
Care for equipment:
Maintain an organized service vehicle, tools, and stocked materials.
Support the team:
Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation and help less-experienced team members develop sound service practices. Required Qualifications Plumbing service and repair experience, with the ability to handle routine service calls independently. Current Indiana plumbing licensure appropriate to the assigned work. Strong troubleshooting skills and practical knowledge of water supply, drainage, fixtures, and water heating systems. Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements. Clear communication, dependable attendance, and professional conduct with customers and coworkers. Ability to use a smartphone or tablet to complete service documentation. Ability to manage time, prioritize work, and recognize when technical support or additional authorization is needed. Ability to perform essential field duties, including lifting and carrying up to 55 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in confined areas, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Experience Commercial service work in restaurants, retail facilities, or other occupied buildings. Drain cleaning, hydro jetting, and sewer camera inspections.
