Full Job Description Role Overview :
Our expanding team is currently searching for a dedicated and reliable Commercial Plumbing Apprentice who is eager to establish a lasting career within the commercial plumbing sector. In this position, you will collaborate with licensed foremen and plumbers to support the maintenance, repair, and installation of various commercial plumbing systems. You will gain valuable hands-on experience by observing industry-standard techniques and adhering to rigorous safety protocols on active job sites.
Core Duties :
Support lead plumbers in setting up commercial plumbing infrastructure, such as gas, vent, waste, and water lines. Utilize various power and hand tools to accurately measure, cut, and join piping and fixtures. Ensure project efficiency by managing the organization, loading, and unloading of site materials and equipment. Interpret and implement technical schematics, blueprints, and project layouts. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by keeping the workspace tidy and orderly. Ensure all project work meets local safety standards and plumbing regulations. Assist in identifying and fixing system issues under the guidance of senior staff. Foster strong professional relationships by communicating clearly with fellow tradespeople and supervisors. Participate in all necessary educational sessions and apprenticeship training requirements.
Professional Background :
Three to five years of documented experience within the plumbing industry.
Required Competencies :
Possession of a GED or high school diploma. A commitment to participating in a formal plumbing apprenticeship program. Demonstrated mechanical ability and a genuine desire to master the craft. Proficiency or a strong willingness to learn the operation of standard power and hand tools. A dependable, hardworking nature combined with a constructive outlook. The capacity to follow complex directions and contribute effectively to a collaborative team.
Physical Demands :
Regularly lift weights of up to 50 pounds. Maintain physical stamina for tasks requiring kneeling, standing, bending, and working in confined areas. Adapt to diverse environmental conditions while working both indoors and outdoors. Safely operate on scaffolding, lifts, and ladders throughout the workday.
