SALARY The minimum salary is $24.750 per hour This position is eligible for overtime (non-exempt), if applicable. Pay Grade 518 This position is eligible to receive hazardous duty supplemental pay at $90/month ($0.52 per hour) upon hire.

DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to install, maintain, repair, and inspect plumbing systems and fixtures in municipal buildings, infrastructure, and facilities. This role involves working independently and as part of a team to ensure plumbing systems operate efficiently and comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and regulations at all LFUCG facilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Two (2) years of related experience Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Schedules and prioritizes jobs; provides maintenance as needed on equipment, facilities, parks and other LFUCG properties, and maintains records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance Troubleshoots problems as they arise to solve issues or concerns Conducts preventive maintenance and maintains accurate records of work performed Estimates costs required for maintenance; Monitors equipment and inventory to ensure there are a sufficient number of supplies and in good working order; requisitions materials and supplies Provide training and guidance for Plumbing Assistants and junior staff Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
All certifications and licenses must be maintained as a condition of employment. Valid driver's license; and depending on area of assignment:
Division of Facilities and Fleet:
Position number 2932 requires a Journeyman Plumbing license in order to qualify; must obtain Bluegrass Cross Connection (backflow valve) license within the first six (6) months of employment
Division of Parks and Recreation:
All positions require a Journeyman Plumbing license in order to qualify; must obtain Bluegrass Cross Connection (backflow valve) license and CDL Class A within the first six (6) months of employment
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be available for on-call and call-back duty. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned and on emergencies. All positions require drug testing and background check before employment and may require a post-job offer physical as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16.
