The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in commercial plumbing systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance across a variety of building types. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing building codes, schematics, and safety regulations to ensure all work complies with local standards and industry best practices. The successful applicant will be instrumental in delivering high-quality plumbing solutions on construction sites, remodeling projects, and ongoing maintenance operations. Key responsibilities include interpreting construction plans and blueprints, installing and repairing piping systems—including gas piping—using hand tools and power tools, and ensuring all work adheres to relevant codes. The candidate will also be responsible for troubleshooting plumbing issues, performing system inspections, and maintaining a safe work environment through strict adherence to safety regulations. Duties Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems in accordance with construction plans, schematics, and local building codes. Read blueprints and schematics accurately to determine pipe routes, fixture locations, and system specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment to execute precise pipe installation and repairs. Conduct system inspections to identify leaks or malfunctions; perform repairs or replacements as necessary. Manage gas piping systems safely by following all safety regulations and industry standards. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining proper safety procedures. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion. Maintain detailed records of work performed for compliance audits and future reference. Adhere strictly to safety regulations on construction sites by utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols. Assist with remodeling projects by providing handyman services related to plumbing or minor carpentry tasks as needed. Support ongoing maintenance operations by troubleshooting plumbing issues in commercial facilities. Operate construction vehicles for material transport when required; maintain compliance with commercial driving regulations. Skills Extensive construction experience with a focus on commercial plumbing installations and repairs. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Strong mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems including pipe threading, pipe installation, fixture connections, and gas piping. Familiarity with plumbing building codes such as local regulations governing commercial projects. Experience with welding techniques relevant to plumbing applications. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and specialized machinery safely. Knowledge of safety regulations applicable to construction sites and plumbing operations. Experience working with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures within commercial environments. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or facility managers during service calls or installations. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe sizing or system layouts. Ability to read technical schematics accurately for complex systems integration. Familiarity with HVAC systems as they relate to building infrastructure support. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks across different projects simultaneously.
