Description:
Plumbing Journeyman Job Summary:
The Plumbing Journeyman will be required to diagnose and remedy issues pertaining to water and HVAC systems, which might include drips, obstructions, and weather damage. You should always ensure that services are rendered in a professional, courteous manner in order to maximize customer retention.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees Plumbing Apprentice.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Locates leaks, tears, blockages, corrosion, and weather damage in water and HVAC features. Informs clients of all estimated costs before commencing work. Fixes issues in water and HVAC systems by repairing or replacing these structures, or aspects thereof. Installs pipes, and appropriate fixtures to ensure adequate drainage. Ensures that structures are in excellent working condition upon completion of each project. Consults with clients to identify and address any other concerns related to their water and HVAC systems. Advises clients on appropriate care for their water and HVAC systems. Observes pertinent health and safety regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Extensive knowledge of systems and equipment. Ability to use power and hand tools. Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate system. Ability to read operation and repair manuals for systems. Excellent mechanical skills. Excellent communication skills, as required to interact with customer. Valid driver's license
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship required. Licensed to practice as a Journeyman Plumber in the state where you will be working. Two+ years of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year. Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders. Must be able to lift 100 pounds at a time.
