Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have atleast 2 years experience in plumbing and a strong mechanical aptitude. This role involves working on various plumbing projects, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in a corrections setting. A successful Plumber will demonstrate proficiency in using hand and power tools to ensure efficient and effective plumbing solutions. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with local codes and regulations. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems. Perform pipe threading, assembly, and installation of various piping materials. S team fitting is a plus. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues or necessary repairs. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various plumbing tasks. Assist with Steam Fitting repairs as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications 2 years experience in plumbing with a strong understanding of plumbing principles. Familiarity with steam/pipe fitting techniques is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required on job sites. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. The ability to pass a background check in order to work in a correctional institution. A high school diploma or GED.
