We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heat Pump Installation Technician to join our Enertec team in Scarborough, ME. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heat pump systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help deliver energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions to residential and commercial clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge HVAC technology while providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Install heat pump systems according to manufacturer specifications, schematics, and HVAC design plans Perform system diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, calibrating, and replacing parts as needed Utilize hand tools, ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to repair and assemble HVAC components Diagnose issues using electrical diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes of equipment failures Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and plumbing layouts as appropriate for accurate installations Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants while maintaining safety standards Provide excellent customer service by explaining system operations and maintenance procedures clearly to clients Maintain detailed records of work performed, including service reports and installation documentation Adhere to all safety protocols during field service activities and ensure proper handling of electrical systems, boilers, and HVAC/R equipment Experience Proven experience in construction, HVAC system repair, or property maintenance with a focus on heat pump installation or similar mechanical systems Hands-on experience with HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, and building automation systems Strong background in plumbing, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration techniques, and equipment troubleshooting Mechanical knowledge gained through appliance repair or mechanic roles is highly valued Familiarity with electrical systems including wiring, ohmmeters, and electrical diagnostics tools Previous field service experience working with Mitsubishi, Daikin and other brands of Heat Pumps is required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (driver's license required) Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional certifications in welding or ammonia refrigeration are a plus Join us as a Heat Pump Installation Technician if you're eager to apply your technical skills in a vibrant environment dedicated to innovation and customer satisfaction. Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
