Job Description
Hutzel is a rapidly growing home services company specializing in HVAC and plumbing. We're looking for a skilled, dependable, and customer-focused Plumbing Technician to join our team. As a Plumbing Technician, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing systems in both residential and commercial settings. You'll work on a variety of jobs, from drain cleaning and remodeling to new installations and plumbing inspections, while making sure our work meets local building codes and safety standards. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in doing quality work, solving problems, and providing great service to our customers. You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, use specialized tools and technology, and continue building your skills as part of a growing team. What You'll Do Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances, in accordance with industry standards and local building codes Diagnose plumbing issues using appropriate tools and techniques, and provide accurate assessments and effective solutions Perform drain cleaning and use plumbing inspection cameras to identify and diagnose issues Inspect water systems and plumbing-related HVAC components to identify potential issues or needed repairs Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to guide plumbing installations and repairs Provide outstanding customer service and communicate clearly with customers, contractors, and team members Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other technicians to coordinate plumbing work within larger construction or maintenance projects Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies Qualifications/Desired Skills Proven experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, or repair Strong working knowledge of plumbing tools and equipment Strong diagnostic skills, mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and willingness to learn Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plumbing codes Excellent communication and customer service skills Dependable, proactive, and able to solve problems in a fast-paced environment Passion for quality workmanship and taking pride in the finished job Experience using field service management software a plus Plumbing licensure or certifications a plus Compensation/Benefits Competitive pay Medical, Dental, & Vision insurance Life, disability, and other voluntary insurance options Flexible spending account 401(k) / 401(k) matching Employee Assistance Program Employee discounts Paid time off Professional development assistance Job Type Full-time PI287025953
