The position focuses primarily on residential service, repair, maintenance, and installation, with opportunities to support light commercial customers as well. You will be expected to work independently, interact professionally with customers, and manage your assigned jobs through completion. Our technicians use ServiceTitan to keep customers and the office informed throughout the service process. Responsibilities Investigate and diagnose residential plumbing problems. Perform repairs, maintenance, and installation work safely and according to code. Service plumbing fixtures, water heaters, drains, piping, pumps, valves, hydronic components, and related systems. Review problems and potential solutions with homeowners and light commercial customers. Prepare estimates and clearly explain repair-versus-replacement options. Secure customer approval before completing recommended work. Manage service calls from dispatch through completion. Complete job cleanup, quality checks, documentation, and payment collection when required. Keep ServiceTitan records current, including time entries, notes, photos, estimates, invoices, recommendations, and follow-up information. Performance Expectations During the first 90 days, you should be able to manage a full daily service schedule with limited supervision while maintaining high-quality work and strong customer communication. Successful technicians diagnose issues accurately, limit callbacks, maintain complete digital records, communicate effectively with dispatch, and help apprentices develop safe and productive work habits. What You Bring Active Michigan Journeyman Plumber license. Demonstrated experience in residential plumbing service. Experience with plumbing repair, maintenance, and installation. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently in the field. Knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, drains, water heaters, pumps, valves, and hydronic equipment. Professional customer-service and communication skills. Ability to explain recommendations and pricing to customers. Comfort with mobile technology. ServiceTitan or comparable field-service software experience is a plus. Valid driver's license and safe driving history. Ability to safely handle loads up to 100 pounds.
