A Plumber installs and repairs water pipes, including drainage pipes, in homes or larger buildings. Installs plumbing fixtures or appliances that use gas, and fixes plumbing problems such as clogged pipes.
MAXX Mechanical is looking for an experienced Journeyman Service Plumber who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working with customers, and wants the opportunity to earn based on performance.
The Person We're Looking For:
We are looking for someone who can do more than just complete a plumbing project. We want someone who can take ownership of a customer call from start to finish: diagnose the problem, explain the options, provide pricing or estimates, complete quality work, collect payment, and make sure the customer has a great experience. The right person takes ownership of their work, communicates well with customers, stays productive without constant supervision, and understands that great service creates repeat customers and referrals. You should be comfortable walking into a customer's home or business, figuring out the problem, explaining the solution, confidently providing a price, completing the work, and leaving the customer feeling good about choosing MAXX Mechanical.
What You'll Do:
Perform residential and light commercial plumbing service and repairs Complete plumbing replacements, remodels, and new installations Diagnose plumbing and hydronic heating problems Explain repair and replacement options clearly to customers Prepare estimates and pricing for recommended work Complete work efficiently, professionally, and cleanly Perform hydronic heating repairs and installations Collect payment and properly close out completed jobs Maintain a clean, professional company vehicle and work area Work independently while being part of the MAXX Mechanical team Respond to scheduled plumbing appointments as well as after-hours emergencies Qualifications Active Journeyman Plumber license Valid driver's license Strong service plumbing and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently Strong communication and customer-service skills Comfortable providing estimates and discussing options with customers Hydronic heating experience is a plus Professional, dependable, organized, and motivated
Compensation:
Competitive guaranteed base pay plus performance-based earning opportunities.
