Overview Embark on an exciting journey as an Apprentice Plumber, where you will gain hands-on experience in the plumbing trade while supporting skilled professionals on a variety of construction projects. This paid apprenticeship offers a dynamic environment to develop essential skills in pipe installation, system maintenance, and repair, all while adhering to safety standards and building codes. Duties Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems on construction sites under supervision Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to support accurate pipe and fixture placement Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and effectively Support the measurement and cutting of pipes using basic math skills to ensure precise fitting Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members Help with remodeling projects and handyman tasks related to plumbing systems and general maintenance Participate in field service activities, including troubleshooting plumbing issues and performing system repairs Requirements Prior construction experience or exposure to construction sites is preferred but not mandatory Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe installation, and mechanical concepts is advantageous Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and pipe threading is a plus Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret technical information accurately Strong mechanical aptitude with good problem-solving skills Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and layout Commitment to following safety protocols, including power tool safety and site safety procedures Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members on-site Knowledge of building code compliance related to plumbing systems is desirable Hands-on experience in remodeling or handyman work adds value to your application Join us as an Apprentice Plumber and build a solid foundation for a successful career in the construction industry.
