About the Role Pro Outdoor is hiring a Master Plumber to support plumbing, backflow, and outdoor water system operations throughout the St. Louis region. This position will provide the licensed plumbing expertise needed to support permitting, backflow compliance, field operations, and the continued development of our in-house plumbing capabilities. The ideal candidate is an experienced Master Plumber with strong knowledge of backflow systems, plumbing codes, permitting, and compliance. This is a hands-on role that will also serve as a technical resource to our field teams. Irrigation experience is preferred but not required. An experienced plumber with strong backflow knowledge can learn the irrigation side of our business with support from our established field teams. What You'll Do Perform and support plumbing and backflow work throughout the St. Louis region Test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain backflow prevention assemblies Install and repair piping, valves, fittings, and related plumbing components Pull permits and complete required plumbing and backflow documentation Ensure work complies with applicable plumbing codes, backflow standards, and local regulations Troubleshoot leaks, pressure issues, valves, piping, and water-supply problems Interpret plumbing, site, and system plans Support outdoor water and irrigation-related plumbing needs Provide technical guidance and training to field technicians Help develop internal plumbing knowledge and capabilities Maintain accurate service, testing, permit, and compliance documentation Coordinate with operations teams, technicians, inspectors, contractors, and other trades Maintain tools, equipment, and job readiness Follow company safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements Must-Have Qualifications Current Master Plumber license Ability to obtain St. Louis City and St. Charles County Master Plumber licenses and Missouri ASSE Backflow Preventer license within 90 days of hire Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with backflow prevention, testing, repair, and compliance Working knowledge of plumbing codes, permitting requirements, and applicable regulations Experience performing plumbing installation, service, troubleshooting, and repair Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings, schematics, and site plans Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment Ability to provide technical guidance and training to field technicians Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Preferred Qualifications St. Louis County Master Plumber license Backflow Testing & Repair Certification Experience pulling permits and completing backflow testing documentation Experience with irrigation plumbing or outdoor water systems Experience training apprentices, technicians, or other field employees Master Plumber licenses in additional states Working Conditions Regular field and outdoor work in varying weather conditions Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and field movement Manual dexterity for plumbing and related tools Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs Exposure to uneven terrain and outdoor jobsite conditions Travel throughout the St. Louis region as needed Eligibility Requirements Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide valid documentation.
