Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and residential buildings
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building codes to determine the layout of plumbing systems
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and HVAC technicians, to complete projects
  • Perform field service calls to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues
  • Assemble and install pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures according to specifications
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning
  • Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems or areas for improvement
Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations related to plumbing systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues
  • Experience with commercial driving for transportation of equipment and materials
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus
  • Previous experience as a carpenter or maintenance person is beneficial for remodeling projects
