Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to delivering high-quality results that meet client expectations. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and HVAC components in accordance with construction plans and schematics. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute plumbing layouts and system designs. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and efficiently to complete installations and repairs. Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with building code standards. Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate plumbing activities on-site while adhering to safety regulations and site protocols. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment necessary for plumbing projects while maintaining proper safety procedures. Troubleshoot issues related to plumbing system failures or malfunctions using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills. Requirements Proven construction experience with a strong background in residential and commercial plumbing projects. Valid journeyman plumber license or equivalent certification demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of plumbing codes and standards. Experience with pipe installation, pipe threading, welding, gas piping systems, and schematic reading. Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and construction site procedures. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, HVAC equipment, carpentry tools, and heavy machinery safely. Knowledge of plumbing system maintenance, repair techniques, and remodeling processes. Strong mechanical aptitude complemented by basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Valid driver's license for commercial driving as needed for project transportation or site visits.
