Job Description
Sierra Air is seeking a Drain Technician to serve our residential and light-commercial customers in the Reno area. In this skilled labor role, you'll diagnose and clear drain issues, perform basic plumbing repairs, and use cameras and specialty tools to inspect piping systems. You'll operate safely in the field, communicate clearly with customers, and accurately document each job. Responsibilities Respond to residential and light commercial drain service calls Diagnose and clear clogs using cables, jetters, and cameras Perform basic plumbing repairs related to drains and fixtures Inspect piping and document findings with photos and notes Follow all Sierra Air and OSHA safety procedures on site Communicate clearly with customers about issues and options Complete digital work orders and collect basic job information Coordinate with dispatch and team leads on daily schedule Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in clean working order Support HVAC and plumbing teammates as needed on jobs Required Skills Drain cleaning equipment operation Basic plumbing repair Reading work orders and job tickets Pipe inspection (cameras/scope) Fixture and trap removal/reinstallation Use of hand and power tools Jobsite safety and PPE use Customer communication and service Basic HVAC system familiarity Documentation and mobile dispatch apps
