Job Description
Sierra Air is hosting a Plumbing Hiring Event in Reno, NV to add skilled and entry-level plumbers and HVAC installers to our residential and light commercial team. Meet hiring managers, learn about field service and install roles, and interview on the spot. You'll perform plumbing and basic HVAC installs, troubleshoot issues, read blueprints, and ensure code-compliant, safe work while interacting professionally with customers. Responsibilities Attend on-site hiring event and participate in interviews with Sierra Air leaders Install, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial plumbing systems Assist with basic HVAC installation and related piping as needed Read and interpret blueprints, job plans, and manufacturer specifications Ensure work meets code, safety, and company quality standards Use hand and power tools safely and maintain organized work areas Communicate clearly with customers and represent Sierra Air professionally Collaborate with crew leads and technicians to complete projects on time Document work performed and materials used per company procedures Participate in ongoing technical and safety training and pursue advancement opportunities Required Skills Residential plumbing installation Light commercial plumbing systems Pipe fitting and soldering Reading blueprints and schematics Fixture and water heater installation Drainage and venting systems Basic HVAC installation/repair Use of hand and power tools Safety and OSHA compliance Customer service and communication
